LSX Surround Flow Performance

In modern labratories, energy concious designs suggest decreasing sash velocities to reduce energy usage. In doing so, the performance of the lab hood becomes more susceptable to the HVAC air dispersion method. Many of the industry standard diffusers were developed to quickly mix supply air within a given environment. While architectural design has pushed the design shape flat against the ceiling, the performance criteria suggests a sculpted shape to distribute the air radially.

Our MetalPan D-Fuser Surround Flow model evenly distributes all of the supply air through the porosity of the fabric.

Size and shape of airflow plume varies based on air volume and supply temperature and installation location. Cooler supply temperature decreases horizontal throw and increases vertical throw.
